I freaking love this show! does anyone else? favorite charictors are rose, charlie, candy, berta, bertas daughter and a lot of others!

Charlie and Alan have a funny relationship. Berta has some of the best lines in the show. Best sit-com on now is "Big Bang Theory", however.

I like Jake. Berta's pretty damn funny too though. I think my favorite episode was where Allan started seeing that old lady, then they had sex and she died afterward. And the actress who played her also played the old lady in Beavis and Butthead Do America.
One of my favorites was boo bra shmit, funny stuff! i like all the ones rose is in, she's both sexy and scary! lol!
I haven't much felt like watching tv in awhile. I prefer to read, but 2 and 1/2 men was pretty funny. I enjoy Conchata Farrell, she's a good comic performer. I was pleased to see actor Robert Wagner is still alive & well in an occasional role on this series.
I like Charlie Sheen as a comic performer. Oddly enough actor Jon Cryer is a custodial dad off camera, his former wife having been charged with criminal neglect. I believe he has one son, same as his screen character.
Wow. Yeah, Rose is...disturbing. I did like that one girl Mia that Charlie almost married. Of course he had to ruin it by faking the vegetarian lifestyle when in fact he was chowing down on burgers and corndogs in the garage.

It's a great show. I think the older jake kind of messed things up because he's not as clueless.

I agree. I liked the younger Jake. Older Jake's still funny occasionally but younger Jake had me laughing a lot more. I think my favorite character though has always been Rose, well her and that girl Mia that Charlie almost married until she caught him eating meat in the garage.

Looks like ol' Charlie Sheen caused the producers to totally halt the production of this show for the rest of the year. His employer was being as generous as he could with him having to take time to deal with his legal & substance abuse troubles, and what does he do? Goes & bites the hand that feeds him, making fun of the guy's heritage (like much of Hollywood Jewish) and name at birth (Chaim Levine), making cracks about those around him going home to their "ugly wives and ugly children" and "jealous of him and his"...?! Huh?! How many divorces has this guy had? One of his twins has a heart defect from fetal alcohol exposure. He was a talented comic actor, but I now see the next Mel Gibson, perhaps a total pariah.
well, guess there's only so much a person can do. dam that sucks! but oh well, its his fault. lol.
i really hope he cleans up his act so they can start working on it again next year
I won't be at all surprised if the show ends up being canceled. Charlie is in his mid 40's and honestly, he is just getting worse with age. He may have just killed his own career with going on all these radio talk shows putting down CBS and his show producers and creators. No one in their right mind will want to work with him now even if he does get off the drugs and alcohol.
I feel sorry for his fellow cast mates. They must have been thrilled to be in a hit show for so long, and now Charlie may have ruined all their chances to ever be in such a long running show again.
I don't know that his cast mates don't stand a chance to be in a long running show. Conchata Farrell was pretty well known in television, John Cryer was I believe one of the "Brat Pack" actors. There isn't any controversy I'm aware of with them. However, my understanding is they won't be paid for the episodes that have been scrapped. Kind of like working a full time, benefitted job, expecting some paid time off & finding out it's unpaid. I somehow don't see 'em on speaking terms with Charlie. The whole thing with him is kind of like one teacher I had in high school, one of those penalize the whole class for one misbehaving student types.
I bet Charlie's brother Emilio Estevez is laughing himself silly. When I looked up actor Martin Sheen...whom I kind of like...on www.imdb.com, it was "Charlie this" and "Charlie that", "I'm so proud of CHARLIE"...not a word about more discrete, quietly living Emilio. He did produce an episode of the CBS series "Cold Case" some years back, but other than that I really don't hear much of him. Maybe we'll see more of him instead.
Did any of you guys see the interview with him on Good Morning America? He said some pretty fucked up shit, but they say they took two drug tests and he was clean. We'll see how long that lasts. It's a damn shame though because I agree, the show will probably end up getting cancelled, and that would suck, cause I love that show!
These days I have about as much respect for Charlie Sheen as I do for Lindsay Lohan, which is very little if indeed any at all. And Lindsay's about half his age. But if I was to get famous as an actor and end up in Hollywood I'd have a strict policy about not working on any films that either of them had a hand in. I know Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman have flatly refused to work with Lindsay Lohan on any project unless and until she cleans up her act (which I somehow doubt), and I wouldn't be surprised if people started doing the same with Charlie.
Speak of the devil...I just logged on my puter, and there's Charlie Sheen staring on msn's website. Seems he's been 'the f word' from this hit series...that's right fired. Maybe he can do like Robert Downey Jr., whom I don't mind, and clean up his act, but if he's not he'll just fade into oblivion.
I heard on the news that Charlie has been completely fired from the show. I really love this show and am so disappointed. I want to see what happens!
As for Charlie, though, . . . What can you say? The guy has issues! I watched the interview he did with 20/20. What a nut! I really feel for those twin boys. What a mess.
I do wish that they would wait to see if Charlie gets somewhat straightened out, then try continuing with the show. I'm certainly not condoning what Charlie does, or the things he has said about the producers and creators of the show, but, they had to have known from the beginning what kind of guy he is. All of this stuff he's doing isn't anything new. I think that's why he plays the character of Charlie so well. He's basically playing out his own life.
He's talented, but there's only so much anyone can take. I couldn't believe it when someone told me he was suing over his termination. Hold the phone...he bit the hand that fed him, and he's suing?! Also I was acquainted with someone years back who danced professional ballet, then when this was over was one of the dancers at a restaurant called 'The Swiss House'. Her contract as a dancer wasn't renewed after a car accident (don't think if she was injured it was that bad), but in any case her contract wasn't renewed. I found this questionable, and she told me "Arts and sports employment are different. They are under no obligation to renew your contract, and under no obligation to let you know why." She already had an out once her career was through, obedience training dogs. I heard of one daytime performer being axed from her soap because she became pregnant, and they hired her to play a 'vamp', or 'vixen' type of woman going from guy to guy, which isn't as credible once you're visibly pregnant. When she sued, I believe she lost. Charlie Sheen is in a field which plays by different rules, bit the hand that fed him, and he's suing?! OK.....just when I think I've heard it all.
yes, but i guess he just doesn't care which is said cause this is the biggest money maker for cbs and also they couldn't go on with out him he wood be to hard to replace
Seeking to replace him they are, yesterday I read they were looking at Rob Lowe as a possibility, but possible conflict as he is a good friend of the Sheen family. Charlie lashed out at Jon Cryer hoping to get his support, but Mr Cryer is a custodial dad like the character he plays & has to put food on the table. I hope they find a suitable replacement.
I heard on The Insider that Rob Lowe is out of the running because of his contract with the show he's currently on. I also heard that John Stamos is a possibility, but every time the name John Stamos is mentioned, I always think of Uncle Jesse from Full House, a far cry from Charlie Harper!
Charlie is going to be pretty hard to replace! He played the part perfectly. It just won't be the same without him.

I think one of the reasons he played the part perfectly is because is character is very much like him in real life. His character is a womanizer and an alcoholic, although they never call him an alcoholic on the show. His character doesn't take drugs, and does seem to at least have a conscience, which fis something the real Charlie doesn't seem to have. But there are a lot of similarities.
Frankly, I'm tired of hearing about his outrageous demands and rants on TV and radio talk shows. He just makes more of an ass out of himself every time he opens his mouth.
Charlie, go back to your cocaine and porn star girlfriends and stay away from microphones. I believe if they find the right actor, the show can go on without you.
I'm not sure I'm especially fond of Jon Cryer either. On msn's website today, he's shown lashing out at Charlie's rants: On being called a 'troll', "I am a troll. You have no idea how much I've spent on electrolysis, hair dye, reconstructive surgery to not look like one." To other performers he considers 'trolls', like Paul Giamatti, Dame Helen Mirren, "It gets better." What the heck?! In the first place, if you want to call yourself a troll, fine, but telling us what you've done to pretty yourself up, too much information, and leave other performers out of it. I couldn't see anything about Dame Helen Mirren that made her one. The more adult thing to do would have been to remain silent and let Oh Insane One rant on & make himself look even more like a whack job, like Mel Gibson.
That remark about really being a troll was a joke. He was trying to be funny and glib rather than go off on Charlie the way Charlie went off on him.
I've had little respect for celebrities in general over te years but even less for folks like Lindsay Lohan and now Charlie Sheen.
Apparently so have most folks. The latest is Charlie got booed by his audience the first night of his tour. What gets me is folks paid FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS for this performance. WHY WOULD ANYONE SPEND THIS SUM OF MONEY TO GO 'BOOOOOOO'....Or to see Charlie Sheen for that matter? If I'm going to spend this sum of money, I'll at least get something good like opium & have some fun. It's like Garfield the cat once said "It's amazing the things some people would rather have than their money."
But then he got a standing ovation in Chicago the following night. He was here in Columbus, where I live, last night. I haven't seen a review of the show yet, but I did see a review of his show in Cleveland, and it was mixed at best. He apparently has adopted a format where he sits on stage with a friend who asks him questions about his life, If the audience starts booing, he changes the subject until the audience is happy again. What a waste of money. Unfortunately, people will keep paying to see him, so the madness will continue.
I definitely agree with post 22. However, Charlie was one of the most amusing characters on the show...
